The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Health Professions Department of Health Services Administration announces an opening for a full time, non-tenure track faculty position to support multiple programs, including our AUPHA-certified undergraduate program Health Care Management and our graduate programs in Healthcare Quality and Safety and Health Administration. We seek applications from innovative, motivated, and engaged individuals who are committed to teaching across several top-ranked programs in the Department of Health Services Administration. This position focuses primarily on teaching. We seek candidates with prior teaching experience (online, face-to-face, hybrid) and/or professional experience in one or more of the following areas: management, organizational behavior, public health, population health management, health policy, strategic planning, quality improvement, patient safety and human factors, project management or other related fields. The ideal candidate will have earned a terminal degree in a relevant discipline or have an earned master's degree with significant, relevant professional experience. The selected applicant will join a diverse and vibrant academic community. With 35 faculty members, 4,000 alumni, and an enrollment of just under 800 students, the Department has a solid fiscal foundation and an engaged community of alumni and other practitioners. Department faculty engage in multidisciplinary research programs with faculty from the UAB Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Business, and Engineering.
