Research Technician (content specialist) Strategies and Tools for Overdose Prevention (STOP) Unit
Essential Functions: The WSU Center for Urban Studies aims to stop overdose deaths and reduce other harm related to the opioid crisis, while fostering civic engagement as a key strategy for addressing critical community challenges in the Detroit area. We are seeking a motivated individual to provide instructional support to our team of volunteer service members. New members are enrolled quarterly to serve on the team for a six-month period as an Overdose Rescue Trainer, during which time they teach people in the community how to provide life-saving aid during an opioid overdose emergency. The content specialist will educate new team members on topics related to the opioid crisis and harm reduction during quarterly orientation periods and will provide ongoing skill-building
