Position Summary The Institute for Genomic Medicine at Columbia University has been awarded the opportunity to participate in the All of Us Research Program, the cornerstone of the National Institutes of Health Precision Medicine Initiative, by leading enrollment efforts in the New York City area. The All of Us Research Program is an ambitious effort to gather data from one million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research. The program will be open to people both healthy and sick, from all communities. Unlike a single research study focused on a specific disease or population, the All of Us Research Program will serve as a national resource for thousands of studies, covering a wide variety of health conditions. Columbia leads the NYC Consortium which includes Weill Cornell Medicine, Harlem Hospital, and NewYork-Presbyterian. The NYC Consortium is responsible for recruiting 93,000 of the 1 million persons across the United States over the next 5 years. All of Us is a national program which will contribute significantly to the development of a research cohort seeking to engage a million or more Americans. Research participants in this cohort will be asked to volunteer their health data over many years to improve health outcomes, fuel the development of new treatments for disease, and catalyze a new era of databased and more precise preventative care and medical treatment. The overall objective of this study is to obtain informed consent to participate in the All of Us Research Program, gather physical measurements, blood pressure, collect biospecimens (i.e., blood, saliva), and administer study questionnaires to be used for future research purposes. New patients will be approached in the outpatient clinics and inpatient setting. The Institute for Genomic Medicine seeks to hire a skilled individual asthe Engagement Manager. The ideal candidate must enjoy working with people and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Reporting to the Program Director and Communications Officer for Columbia's All of Us Research Program in the Institute for Genomic Medicine, the Engagement Manager will play a critical role in helping to meet the program milestones set forth by the grant for Columbia University. In particular, the Engagement Manager will work closely with the Communications Lead, Retention Lead and under the guidance of the Engagement Principal Investigator. The Engagement Manager will also work closely with communications staff within the NYC Consortium (Columbia, Weill Cornell Medicine, Harlem Hospital, NYP), as well as with National Institutes of Health engagement, retention and communications teams.
