THIS IS NOT AN H1- B OPPORTUNITY Responsibilities The Division Manager of General Medicine is responsible for the fiscal and operational management of the Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine. This position has administrative responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the academic office, and oversight of activity in multiple clinic and research locations. Responsibilities include short- and long-term financial planning including developing and updating financial business plans, strategic planning in conjunction with the Chief, preparing and managing the annual budget, and analyzing financial information. Incumbent oversees the preparation of extramural budgets and proposals for large complex multi-site competitive and noncompetitive federal and nonfederal grants. Incumbent manages contract and grant administration estimated at approximately $4 million. Serves as the liaison between high-level administrators within UCDHS and outside agencies and is responsible for analysis and dissemination of information. Acts on behalf of the Chief on all issues, except those related to clinical care which must be directed by a physician. Required Qualifications
