Position Summary The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is recruiting a Project Coordinator to work on multiple projects investigating the spatial epidemiology of alcohol use and alcohol-related harm; environmental determinants of road traffic crashes, gun violence, and assaults; and community-level injury prevention strategies. Under direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Project Coordinator will assist with data quality control, database management and maintenance, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. Other duties include conducting thorough reviews of published literature, assisting with grant applications, developing reports required by funding agencies and other partners, coordinating group meetings, and writing IRB protocols and progress reports. The Project Coordinator will perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of related experience. Must have experience conducting spatial epidemiologic research. Must be proficient with ArcGIS and relevant statistical software (e.g., R, Stata, SAS). Must be detail-oriented, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times.
Preferred Qualifications Masters in a quantitative field including biostatistics, epidemiology, or statistics; experience using Python; and experience supervising other members of a research team are highly desirable.
