Your day.

As an Emergency Management Regional Manager you need to know how to:

• Manage the daily operations of emergency management and oversight of associates in assigned care sites and their human resource functions such as interviewing, selection, orientation, education/training, feedback, and performance evaluation.


• Develop, coordinate, and implement emergency operations plans and operating procedures within the assigned region acting as subject matter expert on healthcare emergency management, ensuring that regional emergency management program integrates with the enterprise emergency management program.


• Support SCL Health care site(s) on declared emergencies and activation of the Hospital Command Centers within the region.


• Lead the development of long-term strategic plan including the identification of program goals and tasks.


• Develop and implement educational and training strategies to support Emergency Management activities.


• Develop resource management procedures.


• Ensure regulatory compliance for Care Sites within assigned region and integrates with the enterprise.


• Collaborate with State and local public health departments and medical providers in with their initiatives for emergency management and disaster response plans.

Your experience.

Associates degree in related discipline. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in combination with relevant courses may be substituted for an Associate degree (e.g. CHEP, FEMA Emergency Management Institute courses)

• Successful Completion of the Emergency Management Institute Professional Development Series (IS 120.a, 230.d; 235.b; 240.b; 241.b; 242.b; 244; b)


• Successful completion of Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP)


• Two yearsâ™ recent experience in emergency management, including experience in successfully managing projects at the highest technical and tactical levels, coordinating multi-discipline projects


• Previous experience in developing and presenting education programs for large groups


• Trained in Hospital Incident Command / NIMS: ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, 800

Preferred:

• Successful completion of the Emergency Management Institute Master Exercise Practitioner Program (MEPP)


• Successful completion of the Certified Healthcare Emergency Professional (CHEP) or similar


• Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or Certified Hospital Emergency Professional (CHEP) designation
