The LSUS/LSUHSC-Shreveport MPH Program is a collaborative CEPH Accredited Program. The LSUHSC, School of Allied Health Professions, MPH faculty position is a full-time (12-month at the Assistant/Associate (tenure track) rank.  The faculty member will have administrative duties and responsibilities on the LSUHSCS campus under the direction of the MPH Program Director.  The faculty member will also be involved with teaching, research and community service in support of the MPH Program and LSUS mission and goals.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining liaison with faculty and staff on the LSUS and LSUHSC-S campuses.
• Assisting with curriculum development and program quality assurance, with emphasis on the development of the MD/MPH 5^th year program with LSUHS
• emphasis on the development of the MD/MPH 5^th year program with LSUHSCS Medical School
• Providing direction and guidance to faculty related to CEPH Competencies
• Establishing regular events for student career counselling and Interprofessional educational events
• Advising and mentoring students
• Teaching in the MPH Program
• Applying for grants to enhance programmatic, faculty and student research initiatives relative to public health. 
• Conducting research relevant to Public Health
• Participating in community service within the department, college, university and community.
