General Summary/Purpose: The Johns Hopkins Biostatistics Center (JHBC) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health provides statistical and data management support to researchers at Johns Hopkins as well as clients from outside the University. The ideal candidate will be required to provide programming support and data management support to Center clients under the guidance of the Associate Director of Data Management Services. A major focus of the work will be directed towards the Acute to Chronic Pain Signatures (A2CPS) Project, which is a large-scale study of the transition from acute to chronic pain that will collect data from 3,600 people who have recently had surgery and track them for a 6-month period. In addition to custom programming tasks, the incumbent will provide technical support to end users of the REDCap web application, assist with regular system administration tasks in the REDCap application, and aid in the analysis of electronic health record (EHR) data.

This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers.
