The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases: The division provides inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases specialty care to children with highly complex medical and surgical problems, including children with cancer or who are undergoing stem cell or solid organ transplantation, through the comprehensive, growing multi-specialty practice at the Mayo Clinic Children’s Center. Division members collaborate with a designated pediatric infectious diseases pharmacist in this care. The work is complemented by access to the world-renowned Mayo Clinic Clinical Microbiology lab, which is lead by specialists in culture and molecular diagnostics, susceptibility testing, and infectious diseases pathology, and the Primary Immunodeficiency Center, which is a referral center for the Jeffrey Modell Foundation. Division members are actively engaged in a variety of other activities, playing leading roles internally and nationally in: clinical, translational, and basic research with support from the National Institutes of Health, industry, and intramural sources; education; infection control and prevention; public health; disaster preparedness and management; antimicrobial stewardship; and quality improvement. Mayo Clinic Children’s Center: Mayo Clinic: Mayo Clinic offers a highly competitive, comprehensive benefits package that includes plenty of options for medical, dental and vision care; flexible spending accounts; life insurance; short and long term disability coverage; generous time away, travel and professional expense allowances; and more! We are proud to be among the few U.S. companies to provide a pension benefit at no cost to employees plus you can add the Mayo 403(b) plan which features an employer match. Diversity and inclusion are integral to Mayo Clinic's mission to provide excellent, culturally relevant care in a welcoming environment to patients from a wide variety of backgrounds. We aim to diversify our workforce to represent the communities we serve and continue to create an inclusive environment where differences are valued, allowing individuals to achieve and contribute to their fullest potential. This commitment is woven into the fabric of Mayo Clinic — we embrace these values as we serve our patients, employees, students, and communities.
