Join us, and discover how your unique contributions can change lives The Trauma and Community Resilience Center (TCRC) is dedicated to understanding and promoting the healthy adjustment of youth and families who have experienced trauma and adversity, including refugees and immigrants. In partnership with communities and service systems, we build prevention and intervention programs, conduct research, and develop resources to assist youth, families, and service providers. At the TCRC, we believe that social justice, equity, and human rights are at the core of a healthy society, and actively work to promote these values through our collaborative models of care for children and adolescents. The current position involves assistance with program coordination/administration, data collection/management, resource and product development, manuscript preparation, grant submissions, contact with providers serving youth (including refugees and immigrants), and the opportunity for involvement in federally-funded research and service programs Ideal candidate would have a background and interest in trauma, refugee/immigrant communities, violence prevention, multidisciplinary teams, and/or cross-cultural mental health issues. Required skills include excellent writing and communication skills, excellent organization skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to function independently as well as work as a team. Understanding of other cultures and fluency in other languages preferred. Familiarity with web development and online tools preferred. Experience in quantitative research preferred. Start date June 1-15. Responsibilities: - Coordination of Center Projects under supervision of the Center Director
- Literature searches and assistance with manuscript and grant preparations
- Assistance with IRB submissions, correspondence and amendments; ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines
- Assistance with general administrative tasks, including ordering and organizing project materials and coordinating project activities
- Coordinating phone and in-person meetings with partners and collaborators
- Tracking Center activities for quarterly and annual evaluation reporting
- Assisting the Program Evaluator in preparing quarterly and annual evaluation reports
- Assistance with quantitative and qualitative data analyses
- Weekly team meetings with Center Director, Associate Director, and center staff
- Involvement in developing web-based resources
- Communication with providers from different refugee/immigrant service sectors
- Conducting interviews with refugee/immigrant youth participating in ongoing studies and evaluation activities
- Coordination of activities with current research staff
Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in psychology, public health, mental health, or related field.
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and SPSS or SAS
- Ability to work in multicultural/multilingual settings
- Willingness to learn new technologies and data collection systems
