Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Graduate Assistant for the School of Health Professions within the Department of Clinical and Preventive Nutrition Services. Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI), the Graduate Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations and the ongoing research projects in the Rawal Nutrition and Health Lab.

Among the key duties for this position are the following:

• Assists in the development and renewal of IRB protocols.
• Assists with the preparation of research abstracts and manuscripts drafts, revisions, and submissions in collaboration with the PI and Graduate Students.
• Prepares posters and/or oral presentations as required in collaboration with the PI and Graduate Students.
• Conducts literature searches as assigned.
• Must be willing to have a flexible working schedule for participant assessment.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Psychology, Biomedical Sciences, Health Informatics or related field.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with research or clinical experience assessing human participants, use of PubMed, and scientific writing. It is preferred that the candidate have previous experience with data analyses and using statistical packages (SPSS, STATA, SAS etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree.
