The Senior Research Associate primarily provides collaborative biostatistics and data analysis support to investigators in the Longevity Consortium (LC), including analysis of proteomics data from human and animal experiments. Key responsibilities include management and processing of large omic data sets, application of appropriate statistical, bioinformatic and/or data science techniques, experimental design guidance, and assistance with manuscripts, reports and presentations. This position involves significant interaction with the Longevity Consortium investigators at OHSU and other institutions, requiring excellent and effective oral and written communication skills. For example, the incumbent should be able to explain complex statistical concepts and results. The incumbent is expected to have strong data handling/programming skills, learn new statistical methods, and keep up with latest emerging methods, particularly as they apply to proteomics and systems biology. The position reports directly to Dr. Jodi Lapidus, Professor, OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and Director, Biostatistics and Design Program (BDP).
Travel on OHSU tram or to other OHSU sites may be required for meeting with investigators. Working conditions: Typical work schedule 8-5, Monday-Friday. Some occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary.
