Position Summary:

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to work on multiple NIH-funded projects including longitudinal epidemiological studies of minority older adults and a P30 RCMAR center to foster research on trauma, resilience, and health outcomes in a stimulating multi-disciplinary academic environment. The principal duties and responsibilities of this position are to investigate and support research on population health, health disparities, other relevant social behavioral studies, and analyze large epidemiological data.

The position will work under the direction of XinQi Dong, MD, MPH, Henry Rutgers Professor of Population Health Sciences and Director of the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research (IFH).
Supported by an interprofessional faculty team with expertise in gerontology, social work, public health, health care policy, business, and research, the position combines elements of Rutgers' premier educational programs. Established in 1985 by David Mechanic, the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research (IFH) facilitates collaboration among the social and behavioral sciences, clinical disciplines, basic sciences and related fields to promote research on critical health and mental health issues. The IFH brings together scholars across and beyond Rutgers into a vibrant interdisciplinary network that advances high quality research in five core areas: behavioral health, health economics, social determinants of health and illness, state health policy, and health services research.

Minimum Education and Experience:

M.D. or PhD degree.
