THE OPPORTUNITY:

A senior level Human Resources role representing a unique opportunity for an experienced Human Resources leader to join an almost 10,000-employee independent health system in a growing market in the Southeast.  This is an exciting role for a leader who is passionate about HR as a key partner to business success.  The executive will focus on modernizing and enhancing the human resources function, transitioning to a strategic HR function servicing all leaders within the organization.  The role will have direct leadership over the HR functions of the HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and Employee Relations, and will be considered as a potential successor to the Chief Human Resources Officer.

POSITION DETAILS:

• Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this executive will enable the business by developing a strategic talent plan and helping to guide critical talent decisions, including workforce planning, engagement, and cultural success.
• This executive will lead with a people-first approach and will demonstrate the ability to translate strong business acumen to human resources strategies and successful programs, through the implementation of a strategic HR Business Partner model.
• This leader will use metrics and data to improve performance, engagement and retention, while also ensuring appropriate change management and organization design plans are created to support business growth initiatives.
• This executive will lead the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet talent management needs, in addition to ensuring proactive employee relation strategies and efficiently and effectively managing employee relations issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal candidates:

• Will possess a minimum of ten years of progressive human resources leadership experience in a multi-hospital healthcare environment, including proven experience with implementing a HR Business Partner model, talent acquisition, employee relations, workforce planning and cultural success.
• Will have a Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or public health (MPH).
• Will have a professional human capital certification such as SHRM–SCP, SPHR/PHR and/or Human Capital Institute Strategic HR Business Partner.
