The Family Health (FH) Division Manager requires dynamic leadership and strong management skills to oversee four programs that work collaboratively to support families and ensure that youngest children are able to reach their fullest development. Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) Family Health Division programs work to ensure children with special needs (CSN) and their families are supported, provide home-based nursing services for first-time parents and high-risk families, provide WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) nutrition services and breastfeeding support, advance programming to improve health and safety in early child care and education settings, and engage community partners to help improve the co-ordination of efforts to improve outcomes for families and young children. The FH Division works directly with families and community partners to enhance seamless, client-centered systems of care; increase community capacity; and assure access of families and young children to affordable, high-quality preventive health care. This position participates in department-wide planning and development of innovative programs to protect, promote, and enhance the health and well-being of families and children in Boulder County. The position is also expected to align programmatic efforts to support BCPH agency-wide priorities, which include community mental/behavioral health, health equity and racial equity, and action on climate change. The position is a key member of the BCPH Management Team.
