Job Summary Under minimal supervision, key senior leadership position in the organization with responsibility for evaluation and financial management of the organization's strategic relationships and initiatives, actionable quantitative financial analytics, financial reporting, capital planning and management, sophisticated financial modeling, proforma development, cash and debt capacity management, evaluation of investments, external affiliations and community/governmental relationships. Ensures high quality deliverables and leverages software systems to achieve DH strategic and operational goals. Serves as the CFO's designee for several responsibilities.
Responsibilities 1. Through technically sophisticated modeling supports organization wide efforts for financial strength, strategic growth, external relationships, and strategic business analysis consistent with board approved plans. 2. Creates multi-year capital plan and annual budget based on operating margin and cash requirements, tracks capital expenditures and provides hindsight reviews for capital projects.3. Monitors cash and debt capacity metrics to sustain/ improve bond ratings.4. Interacts with a wide variety of staff in the organization including direct and indirect reports, peers, Executives, Physician Leaders, and Board committees. 5. Develops performance metrics and executes on improvement plans for all areas of responsibility. 6. Manages external affiliations and community/governmental relationships and provides high quality financial reporting and analysis to key stakeholders.7. Responsible for organization wide financial reporting8. Develop graphical presentations for board and committee meetings. Utilizes statistical tools such as control charts for analysis.9. Oversight of Enrollment Services and managing relationship with the state.10. Liaison between finance and revenue cycle areas.11. Other duties as assigned.

Able to mine internal and external data to prepare business cases and expansion recommendations utilizing financial tools 9. Ability to effectively analyze and organize departmental strategic plans and motivate others to execute on the results. 10. Ability to provide leadership to areas of responsibility including staff development, mentoring, and coaching, recognition, corrective action where needed, training and quality assurance.11. Ability to drill down to root cause of problems in an organized manner. 12. Ability to develop an effective Quality Assurance process to ensure no errors in financial data. 13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential are essential to influence the organization and bring about change.14. Deep analytical root cause problem solving experience required.15. Translation of data into actionable information is required to enable a broader impact at Denver Health.Computers and Technology1. Advanced skills of Microsoft Office suite including very high-level Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills.2. Technical modeling and valuation.
