Job Summary Under close supervision, washes, dries, presses and packs laundry for the hospital. Sorts linen and uniforms determining whether each piece goes in the tumbler or mangler. Marks clean laundry as necessary for return to various hospital departments. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of clothing cleaning needs. Knowledge of laundry room equipment. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to wash, dry and pack laundry. Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time. Ability to use judgment to determine cleaning needs Education High School Diploma or GED preferred Location Shift Work Type Pay Range Minimum: $14.77 Midpoint: $15.60 Maximum: $18.20 All job applicants for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment drug test, once a conditional offer of employment has been made.
