Job Summary Epic is a Clinical IT program that manages the electronic medical record for the patients in our care at Denver Health. This includes Epic applications that manage scheduling, registration, ambulatory care, specialty care, inpatient care including the emergency department, operative services , acute and intensive care, maternity, newborn, pediatrics, behavioral health services, palliative care, care management, ancillary services, (lab, radiology, cardiology), Epic mobile applications, population health, reporting, coding, HIM and financial revenue services. Under minimal direction, the Epic Application Analyst formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering software application limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. This position is with the Epic Ambulatory team. We are responsible for all Epic build and support for Ambulatory Care, Public Health and Behavioral Health clinics. The work environment is fast paced on a highly motivated and high functioning team. Responsibilities Under minimal direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering software application limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.2. With minimal assistance, evaluates feasibility, cost and required time to complete customer requests.3. Provides and/or implements recommendations and solutions.4. Formulates documents and communicates plan outlining steps required.5. Implements change or performs necessary system changes.6. Communicates and/or educates users in affected user departments.7. Monitors daily maintenance and/or error reports for data accuracy and maintains records of quality control.8. Identifies and resolves system and procedural problems quickly and communicates to management and/or affected customers.9. Communicates and intervenes appropriately with vendor or departmental personnel when required or requested to help resolve issues.10. Maintain updated documentation for all procedures.11. Ensures documentation is available.12. Remains current on reviewing vendor, enterprise and departmental correspondence.13. Makes formal and informal presentations both orally and in writing.14. Provides and maintains documentation as required or requested for application related training.15. Completes work status and time allocation documentation as required.16. Plans and organizes time effectively.17. Integrate priority changes into existing work plans.18. Anticipates resource needs and plans accordingly.19. Once properly trained, must respond to pages in a timely manner (according to department's established performance standards, which include a 7X24 on-call rotation as needed by the hiring Epic application, to address customer inquiries and resolve problems related to fault detection and isolation.20. Other duties as assigned.
