Employment Type: Postdoctoral Scholar Vacancy ID: PDS002990 Salary Range: Dependent on Qualifications Position Summary/Description: The Zeisel/Trujillo Lab, located at the Nutrition Research Institute (NRI) on the North Carolina Research Campus (NCRC) in Kannapolis, North Carolina (near Charlotte, NC, and approximately 2 hours from UNC’s main campus), is looking for a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral fellow with a strong background in molecular or cell biology to take a leadership role on projects focused on mechanisms of choline, an essential nutrient, in brain function, and the connection of these mechanisms to health and disease. This project will use molecular biology and neuroscience techniques, as well as animal models. As part of the NRI, the successful postdoctoral researcher will have access to numerous resources available through the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health and through the department of Nutrition. Furthermore, the NCRC state-of-the-art research facilities allow for collaborations with faculty from schools across North Carolina studying a range of topics from genetics, epigenetics, and gene expression regulation to human cognition, brain development, nutritional biochemistry, and nutrigenomics.
