This full time position provides research support to multiple federally-funded grant programs: 1) Transforming Youth Suicide Prevention in Michigan-3 (TYSP-MI3 and 2) Preventing Suicide in Michigan Men (PRiSMM) which are state-wide implementation projects focused on reducing rates of suicide using a comprehensive public health approach; and 3) 24-Hour Warning Signs for Adolescent Suicide Attempts.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and research experience. Candidates for this position must: (1) Be able to work independently but also within a team (2) Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, motivation, initiative, and problem-solving abilities (3) have excellent communication skills Degree in public health, psychology, or social work is desired; Relevant research experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Interest in public health approaches to prevention, working within communities, implementation science. Monday-Friday with potential occasional evening and weekend This is a time-limited regular appointment. Grant will end on 6/30/2024. At the end of the term, the appointment will terminate and will not be elgible for Reduction in Force (RIF) benefits. Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
