The Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research (CBAR) is a large, high-profile research center located within the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. It is comprised of over 100 statisticians, programmers, research scientists and other staff. With annual budgets totaling $33,000,000, the CBAR provides statistical analysis for the world's largest network of AIDS clinical researchers. The Senior Grants Manager (SGM), under the direction of the Associate Director of Finance and Grants Administration, will be a part of the CBAR Finance Team and is responsible for pre-award grants management preparation as well as providing post-award management for a portfolio of NIH grants, Center funds, discretionary funds and subcontract funds totaling over $6M. The SGM will work closely with researchers and other members of the Finance Team to design and prepare budgets, as well as assemble highly-confidential, final grant proposals. The SGM will analyze past data in preparing projections, completing required forms for new grant proposals, and completing competitive renewals and continuations for a number of different sponsors (NIH, subcontractors, and corporations). The SGM will also be responsible for monitoring all deadlines and contacting the School's Office of Sponsored Programs Administration to resolve any problems or issues that arise. In addition, the SGM will be responsible for analyzing financial reports for trends and presenting data analysis and financial reports to the Department's Principal Investigators (PIs) and Associate Director of Finance and Grants Administrations -- for use in long-term planning and decision-making. Additionally, the SGM will respond to a variety of financial inquiries as they arise and will work closely with researchers to ensure proper effort allocation.
