Asst./Assoc./Full Professor University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center The Section of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) is seeking additional faculty at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. We are expanding our neuro-oncology, bone marrow/stem cell transplant, survivorship, general hematology and palliative care programs. The candidate will join an active pediatric hematology/oncology section comprising 10 hematologists/oncologists, two pediatric psychologists, nine physician assistants, three nurse practitioners and ample support staff. Facilities include a 17,000-plus square foot outpatient center immediately adjacent to the 24-bed inpatient unit. Our program sees over 120 new oncology patients each year. The program is an active COG institution (~85-90th percentile for COG enrollments) and participates in several consortium arrangements for pilot clinical trials. In 2019; we had over 14,000 outpatient visits. Applicants should be board certified in Pediatrics and board eligible or certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. The candidate will fill a Clinician Educator or Clinician Scientist position – for candidates with a successful research program, ample start-up and support may include a $2 million endowed chair. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with prior experience. The successful candidate must obtain medical licensure in Oklahoma and be certified by third-party payers and the OU Medical Center. The Department of Pediatrics comprises 16 sections with over 200 faculty. Clinical care is delivered in the Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center, one of the teaching hospitals of the Health Sciences Center campus, and the only comprehensive tertiary and quaternary children’s health care facility in the state. The OUHSC campus and seven colleges that are the state’s principal education and research facilities for physicians, nurses, biomedical scientists, pharmacists, public health administrators, and a wide range of allied health professionals includes the Stephenson Cancer Center, Oklahoma’s National Cancer Institute-Designated Cancer Center.
