In this role, you will develop, coordinate, and manage the administrative and operational activities that are directly associated with the utilization management of medical services provided to Kaiser Permanente members. You will work independently and will establish priorities for staff.

Qualifications Include:

• At least three years of management/leadership experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
• At least three years of previous experience in utilization management activities
• A graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• A BSN or BA in health care, a related field, or four years of experience in a directly related field; master’s degree is preferred
• A current California RN licensure
• Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, JCAHO, NCQA, and other local, state, and federal regulations
• Demonstrated skills in leading and facilitating the efforts of multidisciplinary groups
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and  analytical skills
• The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment   

Coordinator of Care Service Director

In this role, you will provide operations direction to departments focused on the achievement of satisfactory patient outcomes including overall responsibility for the coordination of care services provided by the hospital or within the continuum of care. You will be responsible for coordinating with the medical group and appropriate staff to ensure a seamless transition of patients across the continuum of care. In addition, you will oversee the utilization management functions across the region in accordance to policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications Include:

• At least eight years of experience in patient care
• At least five years of management experience
• A bachelor’s degree in health services, business administration, public health, nursing, or a related discipline; a master’s degree preferred
• A current California license required in any of the following clinical professions: Registered Nurse, Pharmacist, Clinical Social Worker, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, or Dietitian
• Demonstrated knowledge of Knox Keene Act, Federal HMO Act, Nurse Practice Act, The Joint Commission, and all other local, state, and federal regulations
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills
• The ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment
