Union: 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary



  • Bachelor's (or advanced) degree and/or HR certification preferred
  • Strong employee relations and staffing experience, and thorough knowledge of employment law and HR policies and practices, strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a union environment and/or academia a plus
  • A track record of strong business judgment connecting human resources with organization goals/mission, and strong problem solving and analytical skills, preferred
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, including excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility, preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to building and sustaining relationships, including effectively communicating with staff at all levels, working as a team, and working with confidential data preferred
  • Knowledge of and commitment to concepts and issues tied to social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion preferred
  • Aptitude to appropriately and effectively understand, respect, and adapt to cultural difference within group environments preferred
  • Skills related to creating and supporting an environment that allows for inclusion, effective intercultural engagement and humility, and authenticity preferred
