The Project Manager within the Department of Business Initiatives and Alliances (BIA) for Dana-Farber Solutions will support the development and execution of Dana-Farber’s business initiatives focused on developing commercial clinical products to expand the reach and impact of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This includes strategic initiatives, digital health strategy, international collaborations and programmatic growth projects. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Development, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day identification, strategy planning, development and operations of products to ensure each initiative achieves its intended objectives. The Project Manager will work closely with other departmental project managers, the Vice President of Business Initiatives and Alliances, Chief Innovation Officer, Chief Operating Officer, clinical faculty and administrative leadership to ensure appropriate expertise and leadership support is incorporated on a project-by-project basis. Product Management - Working closely with the Dana-Farber Solutions team, guide product vision, development and enhancements across multiple product suites focused on supporting the broader impact of DFCI’s clinical expertise for employer and payer collaborations
- Collect customer feedback, gather and analyze pervasive market needs; Interpret data to identify potential business opportunities and make recommendations to product leaders Work with product development and project management teams to translate business requirements into technical language; develop and launch products that deliver value to our customers and Dana-Farber
- Translate customer needs to build, develop and prioritize the product roadmap; Work collaboratively with stakeholders to support the product roadmap during each phase of the product life-cycle;
- Supports User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on product features and releases as assigned; assists in the coordination and management of UAT activity with stakeholders
- Assist in development of service offerings and methodologies that can be replicated across projects
- Builds and maintains a thorough working knowledge of products, technologies, offerings, and DFCI’s areas of expertise, etc. Create and communicate product value proposition and deliver product demonstrations to stakeholders internally and externally
 Project Management and Ongoing Operations - Responsible for all aspects of assigned project lifecycle: planning, scope definition, design, measurement, execution, and delivery
- Schedule and facilitate project-related workgroups, assist in developing timelines, record action items and track project status
- Support and develop project infrastructure (work plans, timelines, resources, milestones, KPI’s etc.); anticipates, identifies, manages and resolves risks to project status, milestones, timeline, objectives, including regulatory and financial aspects or the product development roadmap;
- Support communication with DFCI leadership, including development of meeting materials (e.g., agendas, presentation slide deck, financial reporting summaries, etc.), develops and presents updates / metric reports and other written materials (e.g., business plans, etc.)
- Manage active project portfolio on concurrent initiatives at various stages and with various stakeholders, actively monitoring project plans, reporting on milestones, and maintaining quality across workstreams to meet scope, impact and financial targets
 Business Planning - Support leadership in developing business cases for relationships and solutions focused on growth
- Development of business plans, including core components: market analysis, primary and secondary research, strategic planning, competitor assessment, workplans, dashboards, project governance, due diligence, risk analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, operational roadmap and execution planning and key performance indicators
- Support project delivery teams, including faculty, administration and general counsel in developing and delivering commercial offering/services proposals
 Business Development - Maintain extensive knowledge of developments across healthcare markets, particularly commercial activities, international clinical collaborations, digital initiatives and innovation
- Conduct ad hoc research and due diligence relating to new partnerships and product opportunities
- On an ongoing basis, monitor the success of relationships based on define KPIs, milestones and partner feedback, ensuring that DFCI’s Solutions continue to perform against stakeholder needs / expectations
Other - Develop and maintain productive relationships with potential and current partners (internal/external)
- Knowledge of market segments and trends and makes recommendations accordingly
- Development of high-quality deliverables with expert written communication and analytical skills (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other collaboration and/or project/project management tools)
- Collaborate with others across the institution to create a positive work environment and maximize institutional input and support.
- Assure compliance with DFCI policies, procedures, regulatory agency requirements and ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of care and services, in collaboration with Institute leaders.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in business, public health, or health-related field strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in product management, health care strategy, business planning, and project management in a health care and/or consulting environment
- Experience and/or knowledge of clinical informatics and the healthcare technology field is preferredÂ
- Demonstrated experience with product development and clinical data modeling is preferred
- Previous experience analyzing markets, identifying business opportunities, pricing services, managing budgets, contract development and negotiation
