Job Description: Immunization Consultant for ACNM Timeframe: Ongoing Reports to: Midwifery Practice Clinical Advisor
BACKGROUND The Maternal Vulnerable Population Project Partnership increases capacity to establish and maintain partnerships within and across sectors to create a shared vision of health, improve capacity to identify, prioritize, and customize relevant programs and services to address public health needs, improve operational capacity to evaluate, manage, and improve public health systems, and improve capacity of data and information systems to conduct public health monitoring and surveillance. The program outcomes will be accomplished through the execution of targeted strategies and activities to improve establishment and maintenance of results-driven partnerships through participation in the Maternal Immunization Task Force, improve the identification of best practices and the implementation of evidence-based/informed programs and services through provider and patient assessments, improve operational capacity, such as policies and plans, administration and management, and quality improvement through the development of a Maternal Immunization Strategic Plan and Immunization Champion networks, and improve use of communication and information technology to affect health decisions and actions through assessments of the use of provider websites as educational tools. POSITION DESCRIPTION: This Consultant will initiate, plan, execute and monitor all aspects of the Maternal Immunization Project. They will serve as the content expert, assist with project design and implementation. They will attend regular meetings with ACOG and CDC, implementing partners and stakeholders. The Consultant is also responsible for planning activities to address opportunities related to maternal immunization, prepare various technical reports as required and share their findings.
