This is an exciting opportunity to join the Wellness, Health Promotion and Prevention team with the Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board.
Delivers comprehensive, evidence-based, substance use prevention and mental health promotion services to children, youth, adults, and families throughout the community. Facilitates, TTY (Talk, They Hear You), MHFA (Mental Health First Aid), ACE Interface, REVIVE, QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and other prevention programming. Due to the pandemic, training has shifted to a virtual environment and when possible in-person. These services are designed to incorporate new and innovative ways to reinforce positive social norms and engage communities to choose healthy behaviors, while making changes that reduce the impact of risky behaviors. Opportunity to be a part of transformative change by implementing environmental strategies aimed at creating population-level change. Establishes and maintains relationships with community partners to build capacity in the community via presentations, consultations, and technical assistance. Engages community partners to identify and mobilize resources. Implements, collaborates with, and supports countywide health promotion and substance abuse prevention initiatives and campaigns. Implements SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention Framework to address substance use and wellness issues within a community setting. Develops and implements social media campaigns and public health messaging. Participates in community-level planning and data collection and evaluation. Bilingual Spanish - English strongly preferred.

- organizations, community groups, and the general public;
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
