Department: MED-Center for Community Health Job Summary: Performs biomedical &/or social-behavioral research by administering tests &/or questionnaires following protocols; collecting, compiling, tabulating &/or processing responses; gathering information; &/or assisting in the preparation of material for inclusion in reports. Completes all activities by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all relevant current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH). This position will focus on studies that are part of the South Asian Healthy Lifestyle Intervention program (SAHELI), which is a community-based participatory research program to reduce heart disease and diabetes risk in South Asian Americans. Projects include South Asians Active Together (SAATH) which is a multilevel physical activity intervention for South Asian women and girls and the SAHELI study which is a lifestyle intervention conducted with community and public health partners in the Chicagoland area. The projects sit with the Center for Community Health (CCH) and involve working with academic and community stakeholders to conduct clinical research. This project will require travel to community sites in Chicagoland and a combination of in-person and remote work. This position requires strong communication skills and ability to conduct clinical assessments, including blood pressure, blood glucose, cholesterol measurements, and surveys among participants Please note: This position is unable to sponsor work authorization.
