Job Summary Under minimal supervision, oversees the selection, development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and enhancement of the organizations information security technology, information security program, and identity and access management program. Performs or oversees IT/IS security risk assessments, audits, and manages/conducts security incident investigations. Liaison with and offers strategic direction to related governance functions (e.g. Physical Security/Facilities, Risk Management, IT, HR, Legal and Compliance) plus senior and middle managers throughout the organization as necessary, on information security matters such as routine security activities plus emerging security risks and control technologies. This individual will allocate resources across teams, keeping current with the healthcare and information security technology, regulations and laws. This position will be directly responsible for mentoring, coaching, personnel management and career development of team members. Education 1. Bachelor's Degree required. Concentration in Information Systems or related field preferred. 2. Master's degree preferred. Experience 1. Nine years information technology experience required. 2. Three years technical management experience required. 3. Three years in a hospital setting preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Knowledge of information security risk management strategies, information resource identification and classification procedures. 2. Demonstrated knowledge of preventive, detective and corrective controls that server to protect information resources. 3. Broad knowledge of information security laws and accepted industry best practices. 4. Ability to understand a variety of platforms, operating systems and applications and understand interoperability capabilities and constraints amongst such components. 5. Demonstrated ability to research and study complex technology environments, entities and component and apply that study to an effective evaluation of controls surrounding the environment or entity. 6. Ability to verbally communicate technology-related issues and security related-issues to various levels of the organization. 7. Good customer service skills. Computers and Technology 1. Strong understanding of general networking concepts. 2. Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Server and Desktop) 3. Working knowledge of Linux Operating Systems 4. Strong understanding of Web Security Solutions. 5. Strong understanding of E-Mail Security Solutions. 6. Strong understanding of Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) systems. 7. Strong understanding of Vulnerability Management platforms. 8. Working knowledge of Cloud Security concepts. 9. Familiarity with scripting (Python). Certificates, Licenses and Registration 1. Certified Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or equivalent (SANS/GIAC) required.
