This position will provide support for the Dementia Palliative Education Network (DPEN) project focused on developing a specialized dementia education and training curriculum (didactic/clinical) for UW Registered Nursing students. In addition to training nurses, the goal of DPEN is to create a national hub for dementia training and expertise that will support development of the future interprofessional healthcare workforce. Core responsibilities of the position include: project management and assistance with: evaluating existing dementia trainings, developing training content, identifying and engaging clinical community partners and faculty, program implementation & evaluation. The position requires someone who is responsive to changing needs/demands and can effectively work with multiple stakeholders from academic leaders, clinical teams, and health science students. Previous experience with curriculum development, understanding of the roles of nurses, and academic healthcare experience is desirable. This position will contribute to the DPEN team's mission of creating a foundational framework for preparing a cadre of registered nurses who will take on leadership roles in dementia care across different settings and will help advance the field of specialized interprofessional dementia education, practice and research. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in education, nursing, health sciences, public health, health admin or related field AND 2-3 years work experience: Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration. DESIRED Master's Degree in education, nursing, health sciences, public health, health administration or related field.
