The Equity Policy Manager is a leadership role, reporting directly to our Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer in the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. The Equity Policy Manager will partner with other senior leaders to develop and implement essential equity policies, programs and operations in Washington County.
 
The successful candidate will be a collaborative, courageous, innovative and visionary leader with outstanding people and management skills. As the Equity Policy Manager, they will be able to promote, communicate and facilitate equity policy development and implementation through various committees, departments and teams. In this role, they will provide leadership and direct supervision to staff through training and day-to-day management practices to support Washington County’s mission of promoting workplace diversity and equitable outcomes.
 
In addition, the Equity Policy Manager will provide, lead and coordinate equity analyses and reviews of pending legislation, priorities and issues to determine the impact on County operations. Finally, this position will give recommendations and provide important and essential equity information, coaching and guidance to department leaders and elected officials.
