Implements Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) compliant standard operating procedures, tests and methods in the Nebraska Public Health Laboratory (NPHL). Performs testing and analysis of clinical specimens, utilizing new diagnostic methods e.g. PCR and WGS in molecular microbiology; proper operation of equipment and resources in relationship to testing platforms utilized, and the collection, analysis and review of findings.
