The Health and Human Performance Academic Unit invites qualified applicants to apply for a full time, 9-month, Non-Tenure Track Teaching Faculty or Tenure-Track Assistant Professor faculty position beginning August 2021. The Health and Human Performance Academic Unit offers undergraduate degree programs in Allied Health Sciences, Exercise & Sport Physiology, Public Health, Physical Education and Health Education Teacher Certification and Adventure Education as well as Professional and Post-Professional Mastersâ degree programs in Athletic Training and Applied Exercise Physiology & Human Performance (pending board approval). Our programs have an extensive history of providing relevant, experiential and applied learning and research experiences that challenge students and prepare for career success. We seek a dynamic, collaborative colleague committed to teaching excellence, student development, and service. This faculty member will support the Allied Health Sciences program, teach courses across academic disciplines, and supervise and support students in laboratory classes and research projects. The tenure-track candidate will be responsible for teaching 24 credit hours per year plus establishing and maintaining a research agenda. The Teaching Faculty positions are full time, with benefits, funded on a year-to-year basis, carry a teaching load of 30 to 32 credit hours per year as well as service expectations (but are not required to participate in research), and are eligible for promotion to a senior teaching faculty rank.

·Masterâs degree in related field (for non-Tenure Track). ·Experience teaching introductory and undergraduate level coursework in Allied Health Sciences and/or Exercise Physiology ·Demonstrated teaching proficiency or potential for excellent teaching. ·Proven ability to serve as an academic advisor and mentor for undergraduate students. ·Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Additional Minimum Qualifications for Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position: ⢠Doctoral degree in related field (ABD's will be considered). ⢠Established record (or demonstrated potential for establishing an agenda) of research/scholarship. |
