The Donor Relations Specialist manages the implementation of donor stewardship activities including the advancement of annual giving programs, the processing of gifts, gift acknowledgment, planning and preparing for donor and VIP meetings and events, drafting communications and donor briefings, and researching new donor prospects.

Essential Functions:

• Manage donor stewardship strategies, including advancing donor giving programs. Independently explore opportunities for new giving programs or elevation to current programs. Create and implement individual donor stewardship strategies working with gift officers. Prepare donor communications and collateral materials
• Manage donor acknowledgment process, strengthening WBUR's relationship with each donor. Develop, implement, and maintain enhanced system of producing and tracking timely and accurate donor acknowledgment letters and correspondence
• Responsible for event planning and management, including special events and meetings with VIPs, donors, and Board. Responsible for annual gala auction and developing strategy for future revenue growth
• Responsible for direct mail gift solicitation process, including producing and tracking monthly written solicitations and gift processing in the donor database. Analyze response rate and develop strategies to increase annual giving across the program and with each donor
• Independently execute donor research strategies to maximize WBUR's relationship with supporters and prioritize prospects to create outreach and advancement strategy
