Department: MED-Medical Social Sciences Job Summary: Manages daily operations of a biomedical &/or social-behavioral research study involving multidisciplinary teams of colleagues, sponsors & other external project stakeholders. Monitors study performance, analyzes & review results, & supervises development & implementation of new protocols. Assigns work & supervises study staff & reviews technical operations ensuring that all processes, protocols & procedures are quality controlled & functioning up to standards. Develops implements & administers budgets, grant & administrative procedures. May co-author scientific papers for presentation & publication & coordinates writing, submission & administration of grants. Ensures that all study activities are completed by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH). Program Description: The Evaluation, Data Integration, and Technical Assistance Program (EDIT), housed in the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing (ISGMH), is directed by Dr. Gregory Phillips II and Dr. Lauren B. Beach (Associate Director), and attempts to foster a learning community to improve the health and wellbeing of sexual and gender minority (SGM) populations in Chicago and beyond. Project Description: The Evaluation Center, an initiative within the EDIT Program, supports the evaluation and quality management capacity of 51 HIV service programs funded through the Chicago Department of Public Health HIV Services Portfolio as an external evaluator. Additionally, we study the impact of using a systems-informed empowerment evaluation framework to engage service agencies, assess stakeholder needs, and develop program capacity. Job Activities: This job supports research and evaluation within the Evaluation Center. Primary activities: oversee logistical day-to-day operations of the project and ensure successful implementation; assist with the development of multisite evaluation efforts; work collaboratively with project manager and partner organizations; align work processes with monitoring, evaluation, and quality improvement outcomes; assist in the drafting stakeholder recruitment, retention, and engagement plans; lead the coordination of internal project activities, including communication and fiscal and administrative aspects.
