Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for The Northern New Jersey Medication-Assisted Treatment Center of Excellence (NNJ-MATrx-COE) within the Department of Psychiatry at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School to assist with community resource assessment across northern New Jersey. The NNJ-MATrx-COE aims to increase statewide capacity to provide high-quality substance use disorder care to the residents of New Jersey via targeted education for healthcare providers and their staff. The Temporary Research Assistant will work with community stakeholders involved in the treatment and care of people with opioid use disorder living in northern New Jersey. Initially all work will be remote but there is a possibility for on-site work in the future. Assigned projects will focus on access to care, service capacity, and barriers and facilitators to care during COVID-19 and will also involve interfacing with the State. The final length of the internship will be determined by the scope of the projects but is expected to require at least 15 hours/week for 10 weeks.
