Research Support Specialist
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience with professional research activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Education in statistical software such as, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), Statistical Analysis System (SAS) or STATA Statistical Software.
Sr Research Support Specialist
Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time directly related experience with advanced research related/laboratory activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite. Education in statistical software such as, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), Statistical Analysis System (SAS) or STATA Statistical Software. Familiar with human subject research and IRB submission process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (foreign equivalent or higher) in Health Science, Public Health, or a related field. Clinical research experience working with Ob/Gyn practitioners. Advanced training in biostatistical analysis including experience with SAS, Atlas.ti, SPSS, STATA, and/or ArcGIS. CITI Human biomedical subjects certified. Experience with grant writing. Experience with subject recruitment, (phone or in-person) interviews and subject orientation. Familiar with the RedCap database. Experience with on-line surveys (i.e. Google Search or Survey Monkey).
Brief Description of Duties:
The Senior/Research Support Specialist will serve as a resource for the department to carry out a variety of research related tasks. The incumbent will effectively manage multiple projects at one time and prioritize appropriately. The incumbent will communicate effectively with department personnel and must function well in a complex interdisciplinary team setting.
Research Support Specialist Duties
Work with attending physicians, residents, students, nurse practitioners, midwives, research division staff, other staff, and collaborating scientists to support research studies
* Provide biostatistical support to all researchers in study design, data analysis and preparation of presentations/papers
* Assist with the analysis of data ensuring all required components are accurately entered into the various databases.
Perform literature searches to support projects.
Assist as needed with data collection from EMR for various projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Sr Research Support Specialist Duties

*Consult and Strategize with researchers regarding the most appropriate and effective way to carry out studies.
*Assist with the analysis of data ensuring all required components are accurately entered into the various databases.
*Utilize online research resources, such as REDCap, Google Docs, when appropriate for the research study
Assist as needed with data collection from EMR for various projects
Support Residents in RRD studies
Support compliance activities for multiple projects.
Perform literature searches to support projects.
Assist in preparation of presentations, publications and grants
*Prepare material for data reports of study progress.
*Assist in preparation of posters, presentations and publications
*Review and help edit grant applications.
*Review and help edit Annual Report
Other duties as assigned.
