POSITION: The Duquesne University Center for Integrative Health (DUCIH) Intern is responsible for coordinating campus and community-based health programs related to asthma, heart disease, and diabetes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with leading the implementation and administration of campus and community-based health programs. Assists and participates in the design, development, and implementation programs and initiatives. Provides support, where needed, for all events and activities including campus and community-based health flu clinics and health screenings, school-based asthma clinic and health programming. Assists and provides direct support for programs and initiatives. Communicates problems or complex requests to the Director of DUCIH. Participates in the documentation and materials support effective roll-out program and initiatives. Participates in the documentation and submission of services provided. Monitors and communicate the progress of the assigned requests. Develops and maintain excel spreadsheets. Oversees and assist with day-to-day program activities. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be a member from the historically underserved groups. Bachelor’s degree in public health or healthcare, social work, behavioral health or related field required. Prior experience in project planning and events planning. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Excellent patient service skills required. Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office Package (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to coordinate projects, manage tasks, establish priorities to make proper decisions, and follow issues through to resolution as directed by the Director required.
