Position SummaryThe Pediatric Public Health Initiative Nutrition Team, under the direction of Dr. Amy Saxe-Custack, seeks a project/event coordinator to manage and facilitate a cooking and nutrition class for children ages 8-16 years. Flint Kids Cook is an innovative program that is co-facilitated by a credentialed chef and nutrition instructor. The project/event coordinator will provide nutrition education and manage overall program development. Duties and Responsibilities: Unit Specific Education/Experience/SkillsKnowledge equivalent to that which would normally be acquired in a four year college degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business, nutrition, public health, or a health-related field; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible and expansive work experience in public health nutrition; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require experience in word processing, database, spreadsheet, desktop publishing and/or presentation software. Position may require software specific to the operational activities of the employing unit.
