Research Project Coordinator (Part Time Contractual) - (2000015C)
The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Department of Medicine - Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care is currently recruiting for a Part-Time Contractual Research Project Coordinator . This professional Research Project Coordinator is an exceptional opportunity for individuals with prior research experience (including recent undergraduates) interested in pursuing graduate study in medicine, psychology, nursing, and other health disciplines. The position offers experience in a wide range of behavioral and biomedical research areas (e.g., clinical trials, interview studies, public health and policy projects, and retrospective database studies) and the opportunity to participate in all phases of research. The team member will have the opportunity to study how sleep impacts health and performance among military personnel and older adults, as well as about sleep and technology. Team members will develop research skills and be encouraged to contribute to publications and presentations. Note: this is a fast-paced work environment, more like a start-up than a traditional research lab. Team members must be motivated, self-starting, and committed to excellence.
***This position is a Part-Time (20 hours/week), Contractual position.***

Essential Functions:
- Coordinate all IRB and budget processes for studies and clinical trials
- Create documents for research protocols, consent, and patient education
- Maintain study databases
- Organize, track, and maintain regulatory documentation
- Recruit, enroll (including informed consent), and support study participants
- Conduct literature reviews
- Assist in writing and editing grants, manuscripts, research abstracts, and posters
- Update research website and social media accounts, as needed
- Communicate and collaborate with multiple team members
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing, emergency services, chemistry, biology, public health, psychology or another scientific discipline appropriate to position required.
Experience: Prior experience in research preferred.
