Job Summary Under general supervision, provides implementation and break/fix support of the Denver Health and Hospital Desktop computing environment. Provides second tier support to end users of the Denver Health user community, on a variety of technical or training issues, with a focus on customer service and improving the customer experience. Installs PC software, printers and various peripherals. Answers users' questions regarding desktop and software use. Serves as the primary liaison between hospital users and the eHealth Services department. Provides basic analysis for computing needs, makes recommendations/requests and responds to users needs via the Help Desk trouble ticket methodology. Documents, tracks, and monitors problems within the Remedy ticketing system to ensure resolution in a timely manner. Coordinates with other IS areas to resolve problems if necessary. Responds to pages, telephone calls, email for technical support or training. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education : Two year Technical Information Systems or similar degree with an emphasis in desktop computing and software analysis or four years' experience in a related field. A+ certification a plus. Experience: Typically, two years experience working in an area of PC support, requiring knowledge in areas of both hardware and software. Help Desk and Deskside support experience preferred. Microsoft Certified Professional certification required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Knowledge of Microsoft software products required, MS Office Suite, Windows operating systems and NT. Knowledge of networking essentials and TCP/IP. Technical and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and excellent customer service skills. Ability to serve as a team lead on critical projects providing direction and support to other project team members. Ability to perform problem determination and resolution. ~MCP certification required, A+ certification preferred.
