Job Summary Under general supervision, performs skilled trades work in the maintenance, repair operation and/or installation of a variety of equipment and/ or facilities requiring certification in skilled trades such as heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration stationary engineering, steam fitting or steam and hot water, and standard performance in other skilled trade areas. Education 1. Graduation from high school or GED certificate. Experience 1. Completion of recognized apprenticeship program in the appropriate trade area or three years' experience at the apprenticeship level of the trade required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. 2. Skill in obtaining and seeing to the appropriate use of equipment, facilities, and materials needed to do certain work. 3. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical drawings. Computers and Technology 1. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Certificates, Licenses and Registration 1. Valid Colorado Driver's License required. 2. Possession of a valid HVAC Operators certificate, Refrigeration Operator Certificate, Stationary Engineer or higher, required. Pay Range Minimum: $23.09 Midpoint: $28.86 Maximum: $34.63 All job applicants for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment drug test, once a conditional offer of employment has been made.
