Job Description: The School of Engineering is seeking a Grants and Contracts Coordinator or Grants and Contracts Specialist, for its Research Administration group. Applicant qualifications will determine the Grants and Financial Coordinator: (grade 8) The Grants and Contracts Coordinator provides administrative pre/post award and financial support services to the Manager, Research Administration, Director, Finance and Operations, Dean, Graduate Students, Postdocs, Research Track Faculty, and Tenure Track Faculty who are Principal Investigators (PIs). This position assists in the preparation and review of assigned grant proposals for all School of Engineering submissions using InfoEd/Coeus grant management system and sponsor submission portals. Coordinates the submission of new and continuing grant proposals. This position also coordinates sponsored research funding by reviewing awards, ensuring compliance with award terms and conditions, providing guidance regarding sponsored project issues, budget management, expenditure review, financial reporting, and participation in training. Also, monitors School related finances, reconciles accounts in accordance with federal and nonfederal guidelines for the PIs, Dean, Director and Research, Administration Manager.  Effectively communicates award and financial policies to students, faculty, and staff. Uses Workday Financials to assist Manager, Research Administration in reviewing payroll costing, payroll accounting adjustments, effort certifications, summer salary, cost shares, cost transfers, journal entries, financial reporting, subcontract requisitions and expense approvals in role as cost center and grant manager. This position handles confidential information and is expected to maintain and secure privacy.  Qualifications:
Grants and Contracts Specialist (grade 9) This position provides highâlevel comprehensive preâ and postâ award management and financial services to the School of Engineeringâ™s (SoE) Research Administration office, faculty and students. Independently prepares and reviews sponsored award proposals using sound knowledge of University and sponsor (National Institute of Health, National Science Foundation, Department of Defense, DARPA, Department of Energy, private industry and foundations) rules and regulations for SoE submissions using the InfoEd/COEUS award management system, Grants.gov and other sponsor submission tools. Manages portfolio sponsored research funding by reviewing, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with award terms and conditions. Provide guidance regarding sponsored project issues, budget management, expenditure review, financial reporting, and participation in training. Reconcile accounts in accordance with federal and nonfederal guidelines, audit accounts, and create analytical reports for the PIs, Dean and school managers. Effectively communicate award and financial policies to students, faculty, and staff. Qualifications:
