The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual to assist with a research study aimed at understanding prescribing practices and reducing the use of certain medications in seniors. Candidate will be responsible for: conducting qualitative interviews and analysis, data entry; preparing assessment materials; conducting telephone, computerized, and/or paper-pencil assessments. In addition, the candidate will assist in the creating a clinician-facing website to host a clinical prediction tool. Demonstrated research experience is required including direct experience with IRB-approved research. Experience with qualitative work is desired. Additional study tasks may be assigned as needed, including running and creating reports and contributing to posters, presentations, grant applications, etc.

• Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of research related experience. 
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases is necessary.
• Candidate should be organized and possess strong attention to detail.
• Must be motivated to learn and capable of both working in a team and functioning independently; ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines is also a necessity.

• Knowledge of University practices and systems is desired.
• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Health or similar field is desired.
• Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team and/or experience in qualitative research would be ideal.

This is a full-time position.  Monday Through Friday, 40 hours/week.
