Job Summary Under general supervision, performs inpatient nutrition re-screening, re-assessment and basic diet education on low nutrition risk patients. Utilizes computer system to process menus and diet information. Performs routine clerical and tray line duties. Education 1. Associate's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or directly related field required. 2. Bachelor's Degree in nutrition, dietetics, or directly related field preferred. Experience 1. One year experience with food service operations required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices sufficient to be able to establish priorities, assign and review work and resolve problems for Food Service Workers as required. 2. Knowledge of food safety techniques. 3. Organization skills. 4. Effective communication skills. 5. Ability to operate applicable kitchen equipment. 6. Ability to react and perform under deadlines. 7. Demonstrates understanding of how to use the most current version of on-line Nutrition Care Manual. Certificates, Licenses and Registration 1. DTR (Registered Diet Technician) required.
