![]() Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist - OB/GYN - Reproductive Health University of California San Diego The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Diego, (https://ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff and student body and is conducting an open search for Assistant Project Scientist(s). At UC San Diego, Project Scientists are academic researchers who are expected to make significant and creative contributions to a research team, but are not necessarily leaders of the research team. Project scientist positions are similar to postdoctoral fellow positions, but carry more responsibilities, a higher salary, and are typically of longer duration. Project Scientists are not required to carry out independent research or develop an independent research reputation but will publish and carry out research or creative programs with supervision by faculty. University and public service are encouraged but not required, and this position does not have formal teaching responsibilities. The Reproductive Health After Cancer research group conducts observational and interventional studies to help survivors of childhood, adolescent and young adult cancers improve their reproductive health. Cancer treatment can affect future fertility, pregnancy and the menopause. Currently, there is limited information to help young survivors, their families and their healthcare providers navigate these complex issues. Candidates must have a PhD in public health, health behavior or epidemiology and expertise in one or more of the following technical areas: Appointment will be at Assistant, Associate or Full Project Scientist level based on background and experience.
