Location: Hyde Park Campus Job Description: - Manage technology designs, implementations, maintenance of new and existing applications, systems architecture, and network infrastructure to ensure reliable daily operation of websites and applications designed, developed and supported by CAHE.
- Use Agile and Modular software development (products, processes, methods, & tools) to perform integration and verification of software on hardware and software platforms.
- Perform unit, basic, function and systems testing activities and design / maintenance documentation.
- Work directly with the leadership team to identity, screen, evaluate, and decide appropriate technologies that support research, scholarship, and academic needs in collaboration with the CAHE programs and services, such as Zoom and Project ECHO.
- Manage ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements of the IL CARES Portal with our contracted development partners and internal research informatics partners and provide training to users.
- Ensure operation and security of all servers and networks and work with configurations, installs, maintain and upgrade applications and hardware for the Centers infrastructure and for end-user devices.
- Provide prompt reaction to and resolution of technological problems and clear, timely communication of special circumstances to the affected partners as appropriate.
- Uses moderate/solid understanding and experience to administer the delivery of services to program participants and/or beneficiaries.
- Has moderate/high levels of interactions with faculty, researchers and staff for committee work or information.
- Performs other related work as needed.
Preferred Qualifications Experience: - Two to three years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working with technical developers, tech design and engineering teams, or human-centered design processes.
- Experience with technology used to promote health or drive behavioral change.
- Exposure to fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of software development.
- Professional experience in academic institutions and/or public health.

- Knowledge of general public health, quality improvement, project management, and understating of issues related to access to care (from the community and among health systems).
- Record of positive, reliable, and responsible performance in identifying options, implementing technology solutions, and supporting the needs of clients and end-users.
- Communicate technical information to a non-technical audience in a clear and coherent manner and possess the ability to identify and perceive problems from a user perspective; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work with a broad constituency and have tolerance for the different work styles of the various clients, including faculty, students, administrators, and technical professionals.
- Prioritize multiple projects and independently follow through with detail on general instructions for project assignments, often under tight time constraints and with rapidly changing priorities. Ability to manage competing priorities, work simultaneously on multiple initiatives, and meet deadlines.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google software (e.g., Google Docs, Sheets, Drive).
