Job Summary Under general supervision of a pharmacist, performs pharmacy-related functions to provide optimal pharmaceutical care. Prepares medications, maintains pharmacy inventory, and restocks as necessary.
Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education: High school Diploma or GED certificate. Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred. Experience: Typically, one year of pharmacy experience, completion of a pharmacy technician vocational course. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to work as a team member. Attention to detail. Knowledge of basic pharmacy practices and procedures. Knowledge of medications and medical supplies. Knowledge of record-keeping techniques. Mathematical computation skills. Sterile and non-sterile compounding skills. Organization and communication skills. Good typing, keyboarding and proofreading skills. Ability to maintain adequate inventory/supplies. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Word and Outlook. Knowledge of Enrollment Services operating processes pertaining to the Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) and the Denver Health Financial Assistance Program (DFAP). Knowledge of Denver Health's discount program procedures and the Enrollment Services processes. ~PTCB certification or current pharmacy intern license. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.
