The Master of Public Health Program (MPH) invites applications for full-time 12-month positions in Public Health beginning July 1, 2021. We are especially interested in candidates with applied public health experience in community, government, and consulting settings. Our greatest teaching needs are in epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, implementation science/program planning, and field experience mentorship. Our MPH is a rapidly growing program that offers both on-campus and on-line graduate study. We welcome candidates from diverse cultures and academic backgrounds, including but not limited to public health, biostatistics, epidemiology, health policy, health management, health promotion, and health equity. The program recently completed a curricular revamping of our core public health classes to demonstrate a keen and explicit focus on health equity, eliminating inequities, and acknowledging the role of racism in exacerbating health disparities in communities of color. These are clinical track appointments in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, with initial appointment term for two years and the possibility of renewal contingent upon annual performance review results. As a clinical department of the Medical School, the Department does not offer tenure. Clinical track faculty are expected to focus on teaching; there is no expectation of scholarship or service beyond activities directly related to teaching and advising students. The successful applicant(s) will be expected to teach the equivalent of three courses per term on-line. It is not necessary to be located in the Boston area. The Department of Public Health and Community Medicine has grown substantially in the past several years both in diversity and focus. In addition to our MPH program, the Department recently launched a Master of Science program in Health Informatics and Analytics, as well as a Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
