Specific Responsibilities: CTD Online offers a wide range of Honors/AP® courses in Language Arts, the Humanities, Math, Science, and Technology for grades 6-12. All courses offer one or two semester-equivalent high school credits. Students have up to 18 weeks to complete a one-credit and up to 36 weeks to complete a two-credit course. Honors and AP® courses are offered throughout the academic year. Instructors are responsible for the design and implementation of their course curriculum. All courses are delivered online using our learning management system (LMS), Schoology. Instructors are expected to respond to student inquiries within 24 to 48 hours and provide feedback and guidance in a timely manner. Compensation is based on enrollment using a tiered model starting at $1500 for 1-credit courses and $2600 for 2-credit courses. Stipends are available for new course development. We offer individualized technical support and professional development opportunities for effective online instruction. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree
- Teaching Certification
- Experience teaching at the high school level
- Proficiency with current technologies including Schoology or other LMS, and other Web 2.0 tools
- Online teaching experience
- Instructors should be subject matter experts and experienced in classroom communication and management
- Instructors need to be adept at using multiple teaching strategies, assessing student needs and progress, and differentiating instruction for the varied abilities of gifted learners.
Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.) - Computer (Windows or Mac platform) with a current operating system
